Charlotte County veterans and active duty personnel of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom and their families are facing unique health issues.

Charlotte Behavioral Health Care is available for services uniquely geared to assist military personnel who are serving or who have served in Afghanistan and Iraq and their spouses and children.  Gulf Coast Community Foundation of Venice awarded CBHC a $200,000 grant to help provide assistance to Charlotte County’s soldiers and their families over the next 18 months.

Services are free and are available now.  Compassionate services include individual counseling for adults and children, group counseling, case management, chemical dependency services, medication/psychiatric services, peer support and inpatient services. All current and former military personnel serving in Iraq or Afghanistan and their families are eligible.  Eligibility will be confirmed by CBHC staff prior to admission.
